Challenge:

A prominent, New York-based real estate developer sought the assistance of RI Workplace to devise a plan for one of their vacant office spaces in Upper Manhattan. With their foresight and innovative thinking in shifting real estate trends, their goal was to tap into the coworking market. It was time to transform their redundant space into a desirable destination. In pursuit of this vision, they reached out to our team to help them brainstorm.

Solution:

Through a series of collaborative meetings between their team and ours, we utilized their knowledge of real estate trends combined with our design expertise to come up with a successful go-forward plan. Our design team created numerous floor plan options and 3-D visuals to give the client an accurate picture of what the new space could look like. The client loved the design palette we came up with, as its modern and innovative feeling aligned perfectly with their vision.

Results:

The design we created included neutral tones which were thoughtfully integrated to harmonize with their branding. An array of meticulously selected light fixtures, furniture pieces, glass accents, and ceiling features elevated the space to world-class standards, making it a place companies would feel proud to call ‘home’. The inclusion of plant pots, modern furniture, illuminated bookshelves, whiteboards and maximized use of daylight further enhances the ambiance. The way the space was designed provides ample desk space, private offices, inviting social seating area, workstations and a large cafe to suit the needs of all types of businesses, positioning this client to be successful in their coworking venture.
