RI Workplace Creates a 26,000 Square Foot Workplace Retreat for LS Power in 8 Months

Location:

East Brunswick, NJ

Situation: 

LS Power, a company focused on power and energy infrastructure, wanted to transform their New Jersey office into a fashionable “Workplace Retreat” for their team. To achieve this, they temporarily relocated their 85+ employees to a lower floor in the building, allowing a complete renovation of their original space. During the planning phase, a neighboring tenant vacated space on the same floor, presenting an opportunity for expansion. LS Power incorporated the additional space into the project, ultimately renovating the entire 21st floor where they could create an even more inspiring and spacious workplace retreat.

Solution: 

LS Power partnered with RI Workplace to design and build their office in record time. In just 8 months, the space was completely demoed, new construction and finishes completed, and a Certificate of Occupancy issued by the town. Throughout the project, RI’s design and construction team worked side by side with the client utilizing weekly meetings, site walk-throughs and regular project communications detailing progress, overall schedule, and photos.

  • Elevator lobby and reception with custom perforated panels, millwork, and curved lighting
  • K13 acoustical spray for sound insulation
  • Café area with millwork ceiling soffit, lighting, and planting
  • Large boardroom with glass film and motorized shades
  • Wellness retreat room with seating and kitchenette
  • 300+ light fixtures including branded orange pendants
  • Audio/visual systems (TVs, cameras, meeting software)
  • IT infrastructure (fiber line, patch panels, card access)
  • Vinyl graphics and branded artwork
  • Planting coordination

Results:

LS Power’s new space balances design, performance, and functionality, delivering an energizing workplace that reflects the company’s brand and values. The space supports operational needs while providing a high-quality environment for employees and visitors. Meeting and event areas enable collaboration, while department layouts support workflow and connectivity.
